Blog Revamped

by Humphrey Murray on April 9th, 2010

It’s been a long time coming, but I’ve just finished revamping my blog.  So what’s new?

It’s now powered by WordPress instead of Byteflow.

My first post initiated some discussion comparing both of these blog engines.  I want to focus more on writing blog entries, so I’m hoping the easy to use admin interface of WordPress will inspire me to blog more often!  Also, WordPress has some spam filtering for comments… and I was starting to get a lot of spam!

It looks completely different.

I was too lazy to make my own WordPress theme, so I’ve gone for one of the pre-built ones.  I want to focus more on blogging, than making the site look just right!

Farewell, my old blog design…

  1. Nice website, friendo!

  2. it looks good humphrey, as far as i can tell anyway as i’m on my nokia and it doesn’t do a great job of rendering pages. I’ve found the wordpress engine really good. There are just so many handy things both built in and developed by the community. Microsoft live writer is a good took for posting to your blog. You could also use the email post function to post from your phone.

    • Thanks Isaac! Good to hear it looks good on ur phone. It looks pretty good on my new Android phone. Actually it renders fonts much clearer than my computer screen does! I’m using the android Wordpress app to write this comment too.

Yeah Wordpress works pretty well… good luck with getting it setup on the new site u r building.
