Well he's not a she any more :-) All fixed! It hasn't sounded this good in a long time. Big thanks to Rob from Tas Engine Exchange - he did a great job at getting my car sorted out quickly.

Crazy dude!! It must be a good time of the year for it bro because the Lancer finally pooed its pants as well.

I ended up sending it to Lancer Hell and getting a new one, which kind of sucked.

I relate to how you feel mate.

Ha ha ha, that's awesome. You should hear my car now? I've been told that you first feel the chug chug chug, then hear the chug chug chug, and then see my car. I reckon everybody in my street will be woken up when I drive home tonight :-P My car will be glad to be visiting the mechanic in the morning I reckon.

Sounds like when there was a car accident outside Maccaz Invermay when I worked there, a car ran into the back of an old car, the exhaust fell off & the car just kept driving!!

Well Stu, it pretty much removed itself. By the time that these photos were taken, it was just hanging there by a piece of rubber. We pulled over because we heard the exhaust scrapping on the road :-)

Hooray for the near-death-experience tag. I'm a big fan :-) Hopefully we don't get too many posts with that tag though.

Yeah, at least I know who not to get an exhaust put on by now.

Poor exhaust pipe! ...and poor Humphrey! I know that exhaust has caused more than its fair share of headaches. Mostly because of the dodgy brothers who installed it, but hey. Hopefully you'll have better luck with your next one. :)

Ha ha - nice photos! You told the story well!

Wouldn't you normally need about 4 Kallans and 4 Humphreys for your exhaust to hit?!

How did you get it off? On my car I did it the easy way - reversed down our driveway until it jammed in the asphalt and popped off. Beauty mate.

Geez the Midlands is sounding more like a Bulgarian Highway. I've no doubt that it'll be repaired as soon as the rain stops tho... in BG they just put signs up warning you that the road is bad! Apparently that's more cost effective??

Cheers
Stu.

ps. we should start a club for people with a "near death experience" tag on their blog?
